Harvey Grant

NBA retired vet who is the identical twin brother of Horace Grant. Played for teams like Washington Bullets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Philadelphia Sixers. Harvey has one son that is currently in the league, Jerami Grant, who currently plays for Oklahoma Thunder.

From: Augusta, Georgia He lifted his points average from 8.2 points per game in the 1989-90 season to 18.2 points per game in the 1990-91 NBA season. In 2016, Grant was hired as the Head Coach of the Virginia Storm a part of the American Basketball Association.

Larry Johnson

NBA retired vet also known as Grand MA MA. He played for Charlotte Hornets and New York Knicks. Highly decorated player with being a two time NBA All-Star, NBA Rookie of the Year, and NCAA Champion at UNLV. He currently lives in New York City and works with the Knicks.

From: Dallas, Texas Johnson averaged 22.1 points per game and 10.5 rebounds per game in just his second year in the NBA. Averaged a double-double in both of his first two seasons in the NBA.

Currently involved in player development for the New York Knicks. Fun Fact: Johnson was the #1 overall pick in the 1991 NBA Draft.

Charles Johnson

NFL retired player who played on the Charlotte Panthers for 10 years. Since retirement, he has focused on his foundation which focuses helping children meet their full potential with education and sports. He also has 3 clothing stores in the Charlotte area where he currently still lives.

From: Hawkinsville, Georgia Johnson recorded 11.5 sacks along with 62 combined tackles during the 2010 NFL season.

Currently volunteers to help kids through the sport of football.

Fun Fact: Johnson was a three-sport athlete in high school; he played football, basketball, and track & field.

Roman Harper

NFL retired player who played for New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers with his majority of his career in N.O. He was a part of the Super Bowl Champion team in 2009 for the Saints and is also a two time pro bowl player. He currently lives in Charlotte.

From: Prattville, Alabama In the 2010 season, Harper recorded 98 combined tackles along with 6 forced fumbles for the New Orleans Saints.

Continues to volunteer and give back to children. For instance, this past December, he blessed 50 kids with new bikes. Harper has also joined several podcasts shows as a guest during his retirement, including Morning Break of Charlotte.

Horace Grant

NBA retired vet who is the identical brother to Harvey Grant. Horace played on many teams such as Chicago Bulls, Orlando Magic, Seattle Supersonics, and the Los Angeles Lakers. He is a highly decorated player with four NBA Championships with Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls.

In the 1993-94 season, Grant averaged 15.1 points per game and 11 rebounds per game for the Chicago Bulls.

Grant was elected as the NBA Goodwill Ambassador in 2010.

Fun Fact: Grant wears a size 18 shoe.

Kenny “The Jet” Smith

NBA retired vet who played on teams such as Sacramento Kings, Atlanta Hawks, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, Orlando Magic, Denver Nuggets. He is a two time NBA Champion with the Houston Rockets. He is most known for his role with NBA TNT.

From: Queens, New York Smith averaged 17.3 points per game and 7.7 assists per game in his second year in the NBA with the Sacramento Kings.

Along with his role on NBA on TNT, Smith is also a main studio analyst for NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament on CBS and Turner.

Fun Fact: Smith is a producer and actor.

Clark Kellogg

Former NBA player and lead college basketball analyst for CBS Sports. He used to be the VP of player relation for the Indiana Pacers.

From: Cleveland, Ohio Kellogg averaged 20.1 points per game and 10.6 rebounds in his rookie year in the 1982-83 NBA season.

Kellogg earned his marketing degree in 1996 and was later appointed to the Board of Trustees.

He works as a college basketball analyst as for several networks including CBS and Westwood One during the Final Four.

Fun Fact: Appeared on the NBA 2K video game series as a commentator since NBA 2K9.

Steve Smith

Retired NFL vet who played for Carolina Panther and the Baltimore Ravens. Known as one of the best small receivers ever to play the game. Played in the NFL for the 16 seasons which is a lot for a football career. Currently is a NFL analyst on ESPN.

Smith achieved 14,731 receiving yards in his 16-year tenure in the NFL. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in five seasons and First-Team All-Pro twice during his career.

Smith founded the Steve Smith Family Foundation which allows Steve and his family to give back to the community. This organization is devoted to helping those in need, however, they focus on promoting family health & wellness along with the awareness and prevention of domestic violence.

Fun Fact: Ranks eighth among NFL all-purpose yards leaders with 19,180 yards.

Seth Curry

Current NBA player with the Portland Trailblazers and brother of Stephen Curry. Had great success this year in the NBA playoffs. Currently living in LA.

He was named to the All-NBA Summer League First Team in 2015 while averaging 24.3 points per game.

Curry averaged 12.8 points per game in the 2016-17 season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Bruce Bowen

NBA retired vet who has played for teams such as Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia Sixers, and San Antonio Spurs. He is a three time champion with the Spurs. Currently lives in Texas and does sports commentating for NBA networks.

From: Merced, California

Bowen was elected to NBA All-Defensive First and Second Teams in eight seasons out of his twelve-year career.

Bowen also ranks sixth on the Spurs all-time list for 3 point field goals made. Started The Bruce Bowen Foundation that works to support youth and young adults who are less fortunate.

Fun Fact: His jersey #12 was retired in 2012.

Alonzo Mourning

From: Chesapeake, Virginia

In the 1998-99 season, Mourning averaged 20.1 points per game, 11 rebounds per game, and 3.9 blocks per game. He recorded 2,356 blocked shots throughout his career. He was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice during his career along with being a seven-time NBA All-Star.

He founded the Mourning Family Foundation which focuses on helping those who reside in socioeconomically challenged communities. Since 1997, this organization has raised over $25 million to aid in the development of less fortunate children and their families. The foundation also offers after-school programs, health care, and tutoring. Mourning also delivers turkey dinners to hundreds of families on Thanksgiving.

Muggsy Bogues

NBA retired vet who played for teams such as Washington Bullets, Charlotte Hornets, Golden State Warriors, and Toronto Raptors. He serves as an ambassador for the Charlotte Hornets as well as the NBA. He currently lives in Charlotte.

In the 1993-94 season, Bogues averaged 10.8 points per game, 10.1 assists per game, and 1.7 steals per game.

During his tenure at Wake Forest, he set an ACC record with 579 assists. Following his NBA career he began to get involved in the real estate business. He also continues to host youth basketball camps in efforts to give back to the leaders of tomorrow.

Fun Fact: He appeared in the movie Space Jam.

Anthony Marrow

From: Charlotte, North Carolina

Morrow averaged 13 points per game in his second year in the NBA for the New Jersey Nets.

Morrow founded the nonprofit organization, Anthony Morrow Charities. This Charlotte-based organization is devoted to helping less-fortunate children and families by providing community projects, mentorship, and various basketball opportunities.

Baron is an American former professional basketball player who is a studio analyst for The NBA on TNT.

He is a two-time NBA All - Star. He was drafted with the third overall pick in the 1999 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets.

He also played in the NBA for the New Orleans, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and New York Knicks .

Fun Fact: Davis chose to wear no. 85 to honor his grandparents who raised him in Los Angeles and whose house was on 85th Street.

Usama Young

NFL retired player who played his career with New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, and Oakland Raiders. He was apart of the 2009 Super Bowl Champion team with the Saints.
